What we collect when you use PayDirt HQ, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
Effective date: August 10, 2026
Last updated: August 14, 2026
PayDirt HQ is an online marketplace for used heavy equipment, operated by InnovA Technologies, LLC (“PayDirt HQ,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use paydirthq.com and any related sites, applications, and services we operate (together, the “Services”), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
This policy applies to information we collect on the Services, in email and other messages between you and us, and from third parties who provide us information about you.
It does not apply to information collected by any third party, including through any site or service you may access through a link on the Services, or through any listing, financing partner, or payment provider you engage with. Those parties have their own privacy policies, and you should read them.
By using the Services, you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
We collect three kinds of information: what you give us, what we collect automatically, and what we receive from others.
Information you give us
- Account information. When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and a password. You may also add a phone number, mailing address, and billing or shipping addresses.
- Business and seller information. If you list equipment or represent a selling business, we collect your business name, contact details, the names and email addresses of team members you invite, and information about your listings.
- Listing information. Details about equipment offered for sale, including make, model, year, hours, serial or VIN, condition, photographs, and location.
- Offers, inquiries, and messages. The content and amount of offers you make or receive, inquiries you send, and any messages exchanged through the Services.
- Transaction information. Records of transactions you carry out through the Services, including items purchased or sold, amounts, and delivery details.
- Support and correspondence. Records of your correspondence with us, including support requests, reports about a listing or a seller, and feedback.
- Communication preferences. Your choices about marketing email or text messages, if you sign up for them.
- Anything else you choose to provide, including responses to surveys or promotions.
Information we collect automatically
When you use the Services, we and our service providers automatically collect:
- Device and connection data — IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type and identifiers, screen size, language, and referring page.
- Usage data — pages and listings viewed, searches run, filters applied, links clicked, time and date of your visit, time spent on pages, and how you navigate the Services.
- Approximate location, derived from your IP address. We do not collect precise GPS location.
- Error and diagnostic data when something goes wrong, including technical details about your device and what you were doing at the time.
- Session activity. We may record how you interact with pages — clicks, scrolling, navigation, and text you enter into forms — to diagnose problems and improve the Services. Where we do this, we exclude password and payment fields.
We collect this using cookies and similar technologies, described in Section 4.
Some of this information does not identify you on its own, but may identify you when combined with other information. Where that is the case, we treat it as personal information.
Information we receive from others
- Financing partners may tell us the status of a financing application you started through the Services.
- Payment processors may confirm that a payment succeeded or failed, and provide limited details such as the last four digits of a card.
- Service providers such as analytics, fraud-prevention, and marketing vendors may provide information about how you found or used the Services.
- Sellers and buyers may provide information about you in connection with a transaction or a report.
2. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Services, including creating and managing your account.
- Display listings, run searches, and deliver the features you ask for.
- Transmit offers, inquiries, and messages between buyers and sellers, and notify each party of the outcome.
- Process and fulfil transactions, including payment, invoicing, delivery, and returns.
- Refer you to financing partners when you ask us to, and support that application.
- Send you transactional messages — account confirmations, password resets, offer notifications, order updates, and service announcements. You cannot opt out of these while you have an account, because they are necessary to operate it.
- Send you marketing messages about equipment, features, and offers, where you have signed up or where otherwise permitted by law. You can opt out at any time.
- Respond to your questions, support requests, and reports.
- Understand how the Services are used, measure the performance of our marketing, and improve what we build. This includes analytics and market research.
- Protect the Services and our users — verifying accounts, detecting and investigating fraud, abuse, and misuse, enforcing our Terms, and establishing or defending legal claims.
- Comply with our legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations.
- Anything else we describe to you at the point we collect the information, or that you consent to.
We may combine information we collect about you across these purposes and with information we receive from third parties. We may also create aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you, and use and share that without restriction.
3. How we share information
We do not share your personal information except as described here.
With sellers and buyers. When you make an offer, send an inquiry, or complete a transaction, we share the information the other party needs to respond and to complete the deal — typically your name, contact details, and the substance of your offer or order. Sellers are independent businesses and are responsible for their own use of that information.
With financing partners. If you ask to explore financing for a listing, we share the information necessary to route your request. Our financing partners make their own decisions about eligibility, terms, and rates, and handle your information under their own privacy policies. We do not make credit decisions.
With service providers. We use third parties to run the Services — including cloud hosting and storage, content delivery, email delivery, payment processing, analytics, customer support, security, and marketing tools. They receive only the information needed to do their work, under contracts that require them to protect it and use it only for us.
With advertising and analytics partners. See Section 4.
For legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information to comply with a law, subpoena, court order, or government or regulatory request; to enforce our Terms and other agreements, including billing and collection; to investigate suspected fraud or illegal activity; or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of PayDirt HQ, our users, or others.
In a business transaction. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or bankruptcy, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will take reasonable steps to ensure it remains protected.
With your consent, or as otherwise described to you when you provide the information.
With our affiliates — our parent, subsidiaries, and companies under common control — for the purposes described in this policy.
4. Cookies, analytics, and advertising
What we use
We use cookies and similar technologies for three purposes:
- Essential. Keeping you signed in, remembering your cart and preferences, and keeping the Services secure. These cannot be turned off without breaking the site.
- Analytics. Understanding how the Services are used so we can improve them.
- Advertising. Measuring how our marketing performs, and showing you PayDirt HQ ads on other sites after you have visited us.
These technologies include browser cookies, local storage, pixels, tags, and web beacons, set by us and by our analytics and advertising providers.
Your choices
Our cookie banner. When you first visit, we show a banner explaining that we use analytics and advertising cookies. Unless you decline, these load by default. You can decline at any time using the banner or the Cookie settings link in our footer. Declining stops our analytics and advertising cookies and identifiers. One of our measurement providers still receives a basic, cookieless record of the pages you visit, including your IP address — but with no cookie or identifier tying it to you or to your other visits, so it cannot build a profile of you. Declining does not affect your ability to browse, search, or make offers.
Global Privacy Control. If your browser or an extension sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of analytics and advertising cookies and honor it automatically. You do not need to do anything else.
Do Not Track. Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) setting. There is no common industry standard for how to respond to DNT, and we do not respond to DNT signals. We do honor GPC, as described above.
Your browser. You can set your browser to refuse or delete cookies. Some parts of the Services may not work properly if you do.
Opting out of specific providers. You can opt out of Google Analytics across all sites using Google’s browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Third-party tracking across sites
California law requires us to tell you whether third parties may collect personal information about your online activities over time and across different websites when you use the Services. They may. The analytics and advertising providers described above may collect information about your activity on the Services and, in some cases, combine it with information they collect elsewhere. We do not control their practices; their own privacy policies apply.
On “selling” and “sharing”
We do not sell your personal information for money. We are not an advertising business, we do not host third-party advertising on the Services, and we do not rent or trade your information to anyone.
We do advertise PayDirt HQ elsewhere. To do that, our advertising partners’ technologies may receive identifiers for your device and your activity on the Services, so that we can show you our ads on other sites after you visit us and measure whether those ads worked. Several state privacy laws — including California’s — define “selling” or “sharing” broadly enough to cover this, even though we are paid nothing and no profile of you is sold to anyone.
You can stop all of it in one step: decline analytics and advertising cookies in our banner, or send a GPC signal. Either one turns off the collection described in this section. We will not treat you differently for doing so.
5. Your rights and choices
Access and correction. You can review and update your account information at any time by signing in and visiting your profile. If you believe information we hold about you is inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to correct it.
Deletion. You can ask us to delete your account and the personal information associated with it by emailing [email protected]. We may need to retain some information — for example, to complete a transaction already in progress, to comply with a legal, tax, or accounting obligation, to resolve disputes, to prevent fraud, or to enforce our agreements. We will tell you if that applies to your request.
Marketing messages. You can unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in any marketing message, or by contacting us. If you have opted in to text messages, reply STOP to any message to opt out and HELP for support; message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. Opting out of marketing does not stop transactional messages about your account or your transactions.
Cookies and tracking. See Section 4.
Withholding information. You can decline to give us personal information, though some features may not work without it.
No discrimination. We will not deny you the Services, charge you a different price, or provide you a different level of service because you exercised any of these rights.
How to make a request
Email [email protected] and tell us what you would like us to do. Only you, or someone legally authorized to act on your behalf, may make a request about your information.
We need to verify who you are before we act, because we cannot hand someone else’s data to the wrong person. We will usually do that by confirming information we already hold, or by confirming a request made from inside your signed-in account. We will use anything you give us for verification only for that purpose.
We aim to acknowledge requests within 10 business days and to respond substantively within 45 days. If we need more time, we will tell you why and how long we expect to take. There is no charge, unless a request is excessive or repetitive — in which case we will tell you before doing anything.
State privacy rights
Depending on where you live, your state may give you additional rights — including the right to know what personal information we collect and disclose, the right to correct it, the right to delete it, the right to opt out of targeted advertising or the sale or sharing of your information, the right to limit our use of sensitive information, and the right to appeal a decision we make about your request. These rights are subject to exceptions in the applicable law.
To exercise any of them, use the contact details above and tell us which state you reside in. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our response, and you may contact your state Attorney General if you are not satisfied with the outcome.
California residents may also request information about disclosures of personal information to third parties for those parties’ own direct marketing purposes under California Civil Code § 1798.83 (“Shine the Light”). Send that request to [email protected].
6. How long we keep information
We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy — generally, for as long as you have an account, and afterward for as long as necessary to complete transactions, comply with our legal, tax, and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce our agreements.
When we no longer need it, we delete it or de-identify it so it can no longer be linked to you.
Some information may persist in backups for a period after deletion, and content you shared publicly or with another user may remain with that user or in cached and archived pages we do not control.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. Information you send to us travels over an encrypted connection, and we do not store full payment card numbers — those are handled by our payment processors.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.
If a breach occurs that affects your personal information, we will notify you and any regulator as required by law.
8. Children
The Services are intended for businesses and for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or transact on the Services. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us at [email protected].
9. Where information is processed
We are based in the United States, and the information we collect is stored and processed in the United States by us and by our service providers. If you access the Services from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.
10. Links to other sites
The Services contain links to sites and services we do not operate — including seller sites, financing partners, and advertisers. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. This policy stops applying once you leave the Services. Read their policies before you give them information.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices, our services, or the law. When we do, we will post the updated policy at this address and change the “Last updated” date at the top.
If the changes are material, we will give you additional notice — by a notice on the Services, by email to the address on your account, or both — before the change takes effect, and where the law requires it, we will ask for your consent.
Your continued use of the Services after an update takes effect means you accept the updated policy. Keep the email address on your account current so we can reach you.
