About used compactors

Shop used compactors for sale on PayDirt HQ, from padfoot and sheepsfoot soil compactors for clay and fill to smooth-drum vibratory rollers for granular base, double-drum and pneumatic-tire rollers for asphalt, and walk-behind units for trenches. Match the drum type and operating weight to the material you need to compact.

On a vibratory roller, start with the vibration system: the drum should vibrate strongly and evenly at every amplitude setting, because a rebuild is costly. Then check the drum shell and pads, the scraper bars, the articulation joint, and the hours. If you can't watch it run, arrange a local inspection before you buy.
